Join The House Fund’s Student Investment Team

3 min readOct 11, 2019

The House Fund is a pre-seed & early stage venture capital fund and the first fund fully focused on Berkeley. The House Fund was started in 2016 by Berkeley alumni Jeremy Fiance and Cameron Baradar who saw an immediate and unmet need of funding and support for Berkeley entrepreneurs at the earliest stage of the startup lifecycle.

Since inception, The House Fund has invested in Berkeley’s best startups across the alumni, faculty, and recent graduate ecosystems, including Flexport, Superhuman, and tbh (acquired by Facebook). Our companies have gone on to raise nearing $2 Billion in follow-on financing from over 100 firms including A16Z, Accel, NEA, Redpoint, and Greylock.

Our founders have been building the Berkeley startup community since 2010. Our team includes leading Berkeley alumni investors, entrepreneurs, and faculty. Our 4 Part-Time Partners have founded companies with combined exits over $1 Billion. Our 6 Faculty Partners are among the world’s leading AI experts, including the world’s most influential computer scientist.

Since its foundation, one of the core components of The House Fund has been the Student Investment Team (SIT).

We are looking to bring on two entrepreneurial and hungry student candidates to our investment team. Our Student Investment Team has been a launchpad for students who have gone on to work at our breakout portfolio startups and leading venture capital firms, including joining The House Fund full-time post-graduation.
